Pili Water District has maintained its ISO 9001:2015 certification after it successfully passed the onsite 2nd Surveillance Audit conducted last December 3, 2022.
ISO 9001 (the International Organization for Standardization) is an international standard on Quality Management Systems (QMS) that evaluates the ability of an organization to consistently provide quality products and services that meet the requirements of its customers. The District’s adoption of a quality management system is a strategic decision that aims to improve its overall performance and to provide a sound basis for its sustainable development initiatives.
The District passed the audit with three (3) positive findings, ten (10) recommendations and opportunities for improvement, and zero non-conformity issued by TÜV Rheinland Philippines, Inc., a globally recognized certifying body for ISO standards.
TÜV Rheinland Philippines found the following awards and recognitions praiseworthy: 1. recognition awarded by the Civil Service Commission of PIWAD’s delivery of exemplary public service, through tireless commitment, resiliency, and priceless contributions of its frontliners amidst the COVID-19 pandemic; 2. recognition given by Freedom of Information- Project Management Office (FOI-PM) during the 2022 FOI Awards for exemplifying great progress and performance in the implementation of the FOI program of the government; and 3. Bronze Award conferred by CSC for having managed and implemented its human resource management systems according to documented processes achieving a process-defined HRM under the Enhanced Program to Institutionalize Meritocracy and Excellence in Human Resource Management (PRIME-HRM). TÜV Rheinland Philippines also commended the District’s implementation of projects as well as the District’s initiative to improve its process of post-evaluating completed projects.
