In a prestigious recognition ceremony held today, May 24, 2024, in Tagaytay, Pili Water District was honored as one of the top 10 water districts with an outstanding Water Safety Plan (WSP). The event, sponsored by the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Local Water Utilities Administration (LWUA), celebrated the exceptional efforts of water districts in ensuring the safety and quality of water supply. A Water Safety Plan (WSP) is a comprehensive risk management approach designed to protect public health by ensuring the safety of drinking water. It involves a detailed assessment of the water supply system, from the source to the consumer, identifying potential risks and implementing measures to mitigate them. The primary purpose of a WSP is to prevent contamination, detect issues early, and manage water safety proactively, ensuring a reliable supply of clean and safe drinking water to the community.
